There really is no case to be made for Atkins to keep his job. Even Shapiro noted in his press conference the bullpen has been an issue. How many times have we said that during Atkins tenure?
I think even Shapiro would understand that if he keeps Atkins he is putting the bullseye directly on himself. Don't make the playoffs next season, uphill battle right now, and he'd likely be out as Rogers cleans house.

I'm enjoying the Buck and Caleb call tonight. Caleb's got a great personality for colour. He's not as insightful as Siddall but makes up for it in charm. Siddall has about as much charm as a bag of milk.
