It's because you are both Crocs lovers, isn't it?

It’s because he’s cool and great. And the fact that quality recognizes quality.

But the crocs probably help.

I truly believe everyone is likeable. My best friends on earth are people I initially did not like. I take it as a challenge to change my opinion on someone I dislike initially and it’s 99% that I line them after.

Everyone has their own lens. Never understood why people surround themself with people they totally agree with. You don’t learn anything with people saying you are right.

Do we ever hear someone say “you know what, you have changed my mind on this”. Yet I feel that most days here. Getting challenged on things is hard to take. We are all nerds because we are here (mostly), so our self esteem is probably not at the highest level to begin with. We are looking for validation because it’s not coming elsewhere, so if it’s negative, we get murderous.

Everyone just needs to keep being what they are here. All the lame squabbles keep me from thinking about my own demise and I love it.

It's 12:06 am on a Saturday, and I'm fiiiiiiiiiiinally done the deliverable I needed to get done 'today' (Friday...)—and I'm still at the office—but the god-damned file won't save.

It hasn't crashed! (Yet...) But it isn't saving, so... I'm just sitting here crossing my fingers hoping it's just some software update going on in the background or something, and it'll go through eventually.

Yeah I've been there far too often... We have multiple ways to save to the "cloud" but saving to HD is often, somehow, not reliable. I copy and paste things into e-mails and send to myself just in case a lot.

OneDrive and Windows 11 have made saving files to your HD way more complicated than it needs to be. I had a folder with hundreds of drawings which I frequently use / reference and since updating to windows 11 I’d say 80% didn’t make it though the upgrade.

It’s all easy stuff I can re do but still frustrating.

People that have no situational awareness that they might be blocking someone from getting by. They stop right in a bottle neck or exit to a store to put a card away in their purse, check their phone or to stop and comment to someone they are with.

I dunno maybe I spend too much time thinking if what I am doing is inconvenient to someone else. I’ll inch up at an intersection so the person behind me turning right can squeeze by. I always move my cart out of the way if I am going to look at a product or something. My wife thinks I try too hard to not inconvenience people to the detriment of myself or family. But I just think if we all did this stuff life would be so much more stress free.

I'm the same way knut. I always try my best to make sure I'm not inconveniencing anyone else, and it drives me nuts when others seem oblivious too it

Oh, so you've met my mother?

Literally have had to take her hand and guide her out of the way at the top of an escalator, because she is That Person™ who will stop dead in her tracks and look around, totally oblivious to the fact no one behind her had anywhere to go but through her.

I think it's about being mindful about the things that are actually inconveniencing others, but having a line beyond which you don't sweat the small stuff.

(i.e. worrying about holding the door for someone a whole 5 mississipies behind you)

There is a point where it is a detriment to you, especially if you are anxiously looking for anything and not comfortable with the fact that you're taking up space in public trying to accomplish your own goals. You have the right to go about your business too.

But yeah, jerks who don't seem to have peripheral vision or awareness in stores that either block people's paths through an aisle or impede any one else from getting their poultry or beef and make the widest stance possible contemplating a purchase for longer than is reasonable are bums to the fullest degree.

..unless they're blind, then you're the jerk.
