I’m a bit skeptical, personally. 5’7” 170lbs wingers typically don’t fit on a third line. Players who are at this stature typically have elite offense/IQ that pushes them into the top of the lineup. For Pelletier to be an effective bottom 6 winger, he ideally needs at least 5” and 30lbs more. At least.

If I’m placing a bet, it’s that Honzek and/or Stromgren will have passed Pelletier by the end of the season.

Someone posted that he gained like 10-15 pounds. If true, that could be a big difference. I am generally unconvinced of his NHL upside at this point, but if he gets stronger, that would help a lot.

Pelts is short but I don't think he's 5'7". He's a little taller than that. I think he's capable of being a Tyler Ennis-type guy.

Probably needs to stay healthy and put up 30 points over a full season this year to have a realistic hope of turning into Ennis. If he is playing on the Backlund line 30 points would have to be the floor for production.

Right. I’m seeing 5’10”.

If he’s added 10-15lbs, that helps quite a bit too.

Gretz proposes a swap between the Flames and Blues that would send Huberdeau to St. Louis in exchange for defenseman Colton Parayko.

Both players are signed through the 2027-28 season, are in their early 30s, and could benefit from a change of scenery. Parayko is an Alberta native, known for his defensive reliability and ability to log big minutes. An already depleted blue line could be depleted even further if the team chooses to trade Rasmus Andersson. After the team moved Chris Tanev and Noah Hanifin, Parakyo would help fill a sizeable hole.

Feels like we would have to add Wolf and get Binnington back for this to make sense for STL. STL is in no position to be acquiring Huberdeau.

It's hard to take the proposal seriously when he thinks Huberdeau is signed through 27/28 when he's actually signed to 30/31. How hard is it for these reporters to do the minimum amount of research?

A lot of so-called journalists don't have any research skills beyond copying and pasting press releases from organizations their editors approve of. It's not exactly a field known for requiring intellectual rigour.

I would almost guarantee the writer went to PuckPedia, saw the slighty awkward way they show the contracts UFA year when it's longer than 4 years and thought they expired in 27-28
