I like watching this version of the team better. No expectations, so anything that happens is fun to watch, just want them to spoil other teams where possible. Lots of players who will not amount to much but just glad to be getting their shot. Anyone else feeling the same way?

Compared to the beginning of the season? 100%. Even though they're losing more than winning these are fun games. And Vlad is hitting the piss out of the ball and is better than any of these stinking Orioles by a mile.
At the same time I would rather this team be the 90+ win team that we've seen the last 3 years. But having all the dead weight veterans gone and the idea of signing Vlad long term and building around him is exciting as hell. Reminds me of the Delgado years with a payroll 3 times as much.

Guerrero missing the double play ball is tough.

Springer being horrible again is less than ideal.

It is wild to see Mountcastle struggling against the Jays. Never thought I'd see the day.

Jackson Holliday is the new Jay killer. And is the most overhyped prospect in recent memory. But with those 3 homers people are drinking the Kool aid.

Every homer Holliday has hit against the Jays has been on an 0-2 count. Wild.

And Santander does it with the bat. Orioles only have 9 hits this series. 4 of them are homers.

Horowitz made a business decision and decided to not chase that foul ball very hard, it drops and next pitch Santander clubs it out.

Baseball is cruel. The Vlad ball that Santander closed his eyes and caught was a way more impressive barrel than the solo cheapy Santander just hit.

Hardly a cheapie and Santander is second in the league in HR. And he hit a HR from each side of the plate tonight.

Another Swanson appearance another multi run inning.
First tip I have as an arm chair manager is to shave the terrible teenage mustache.

It was a 96mph dome shot. Vlad's was a 105mph liner. Santander is a great power hitter. And I'm bitter AF. But that was lucky compared to really barreling it up.

Hearing from Shapiro for the first time this year, there wasn't much to read into aside from the payroll likely being slightly smaller, and his comments about having a good core. I think it'll mean eventually is a signing of a big name player and Vlad, and the eventual trade of Bo this off-season. It's really hard to say this because Bo's been a professional in his time here but the open questions to reporters about potentially welcoming being elsewhere likely means he's gone. It's a shame because his bat was special, especially being an infielder. Certainly sounds like a retool from Shapiro. If Ross stays or goes, I don't think has been determined yet.

He can sell more used cars than Atkins, that’s why he’s in upper management.
Absolutely nothing but predictable quotes, providing no insight other then he’s not a big fan of change when asked re: Atkins. Toronto press wil have a field day with the corporate speak.

Astros fan checking in.
Kikuchi has looked good so far. I had no idea his stuff was so good and sounds like Astros just asking him to change his pitch selection. He has been a K machine so far, first game I went to he struck out 8 or 9 in a row. Him pitching well has quieted some of the critics of the deal.
I see Loperfido is still striking out like crazy, about half of his Blue Jay at bats so far. That is likely going to stop him from being an everyday big leaguer. He was the same way in the minors.
Is Bloss up with the big club? He's the real value in that tarde, could easily be a middle of the rotation starter under team control for a long time.
