I’m not sure it matters whether people know it’s a joke or not.
Once you’ve hit a point where you can’t tell if people are joking you ####ed a couch or people actually think it’s true… you’re the joke. And there’s no coming back.

What am I afraid of? Well, let's see. I'm afraid of children identifying as cats and dogs.
