Default Chilean lake vanishes

Interesting story. Obviously, this is NOT a sign of global warming so hopefully we can keep that discussion out of this thread.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

Since you're asking for it, just for fun, here goes.
Maybe the guessed at fissures at the bottom of the lake were blocked by ice that due to global warming, have melted.

That story is pretty close to the limits of what I'll believe without actually having seen it myself! Thanks for posting it.

That is awesome. I don't remember hearing about it when it happened. Thanks for sharing Fotze!

It goes to show you how much the power of suckness has increased....Vancouver's bad uniforms of 1980 could drain a lake in Louisiana. Edmonton's suckiness can now reach far enough to drain a lake in Chile. Scary stuff. A couple more years with K-Lown manning the helm and we'll all be able to walk to Hawaii.

Oh yeah, I do remember that one. Gotta be the aliens. Remember "V: The Miniseries"? They were lizzards that looked human that came and stole all our water and installed a fascist police state! We can't let that happen again! Kill the lizzards!

Doesn't this remind you of Saturday morning cartoons when they would pull the plug out of the bottom of the lake and all the water would drain out?

Saw a show on Nova concerning flash floods and glacial lakes in the Alps and how they have a system in place to monitor these types of things. Can't remember the details but I think these things can often have waterways that are frozen shut almost like a plug in a bathtub that can suddenly release.

When a large amount of water all of a sudden disappears or appears it is cause for great concern.
