Cowboys used to be the hot spot but I dont know about this year. Cowboys was supposed to be torn down by Stampede time so I assume PennyLane focused corporate sales on their other bars initially.

Cowboys doesn't close until the last day of Stmapede on the 15.

I know it doesnt close until after Stampede.

But initially it was supposed to close early in 2007. The construction of the PennyLane towers got delayed due to lack of a lead tenant so Cowboys' life was extended until after Stampede. A lot of companies and individuals will book their stampede parties a year in advance. So if you were making your plans early when you thought Cowboys wasnt going to be around during Stampede, then you would have booked elsewhere.

I knew that COwboys was coming to an end but I did not know about the other restraunts there. I went for lunch at Ceili's today and to my suprise it was just a big hole in the ground. I found out that they moved 3 blocks west but that supprised me. The new one is just not the same, especially since I was hoping for the rooftop patio today with a nice cold Keiths......mmmmmmm

I am not sure if that Ceils down the street is affiliated with Penny Lane. It has been there for at least 3 years that I am aware of.

Yes the are affiliated. They opened the second one a while ago because of the popularity of the first one, and to get people used to it for when Pennylane closed.
