Andy Murray just played his last competitive match as he and partner Dan Evans went down to defeat in men's doubles earlier today. I for one am going to miss that cantankerous Brit. To be fair, he was a changed man after marriage and having kids lol.

Felix and Gaby lose 6-3 6-3 to the Czechia duo of Machac and Siniakova. Felix was running on fumes in that match, but he and Gaby still have a chance to win bronze in a couple of days.

I think that's tomorrow. He has the Men's Semi at 5:30 AM and then the Mixed Doubles is the third match on Suzanne Lenglen court. First match there is at 4:00 so I'm not sure when exactly that will be. Likely not much of a gap again tomorrow. He's got to be gassed at this point.

Thanks, I thought I heard on the broadcast that it was to be played in a couple of days, but that was likely incorrect information.

She has the 200m IM tomorrow/Saturday and I would assume she will be part of the team for the 4x100 Medley Relay on Saturday/Sunday.

That would be ridiculous, why are they cramming it on like this? Medals should be handed out on Sundays!

That scheduling for the Tennis is pretty ridiculous. Can't really think of a reason that the schedule needed to be so compressed

From The Sports Memory.

Dikec Yusuf, who only recently took up shooting after a particularly heated argument with his ex-wife, credits his success to his newfound passion for seeing his kids and a relentless drive to prove his ex wrong. "I never thought I'd be here," Yusuf said, shrugging nonchalantly. "I was just aiming for a weekend with the kids."

The 52-year-old, who works as a mechanic in a small garage in Istanbul, first picked up a gun during a particularly frustrating divorce mediation. His unorthodox approach – no specialty gear, no training regimen, and a wardrobe consisting of his everyday jeans and a T-shirt – has baffled professional shooters. "He just shows up, shoots a near perfect round, and then asks if there's a smoking area nearby."

After winning silver, Yusuf stood emotionless on the Olympic podium and declared, "Sharon, if you're watching this, I want my dog back."

That last quote can't be true? Love the story though. There's still hope even at 52 years old!

Pretty sure that whole story is fake...it's actually from the "Sports Memery" which I'm pretty sure is a parody site.

This is the guy's 5th Olympic games, so don't think it's a newfound passion.

I saw comments that people think he's a hitman. I read a story that he is a non-commissioned officer of the Turkish Gendarmerie. Also read how he prepared for these games by trying to be more relaxed and block out the Olympic pressure since he has a lot of experience.

It is pretty awesome that someone looks that casual and is able to medal in their event. Just shows be careful who you mess with.

Because it's a 1 week sport and not 2 weeks. It's because Felix decided to enter 3 competitions.

Boxing for example is a two week sport. In fact, the boxing semifinals and finals move to Roland Garros once the tennis is done.

Surfing quarter finals on now, conditions are smaller than the other day but still impressive.

I’m rooting for Gabriel Medina!

His image and more so his ride from round three was amazing!
