They’re all extremely well compensated for what they do.

Really the players who need more money are the jobbers who are ruining their bodies on special teams.

Ummm... what interest rate do you think he's getting? It would take about 25 or 30% interest to hit a billion in a decade. Rule of 72... at 7.2% interest, it would take about 10 years to double. Needs to double more than twice.

Id take a pretty good guess that Mahomes money guy is getting him 20% or better.

Even if he’s getting 10%, It’s still $1 billion in 20 years. Doing nothing.

that’s the scale of wealth these guys are getting now.

The best way I ever heard to describe the difference between $1 million and $1 billion is this: At one dollar a second, $1 million is like 11 days. $1 billion is 33 years.

If you get that second contract as a QB in the NFL now, You are on fast track to the three comma club.

The yearly salary is academic at that point.

You think with all the powerful big wigs Patrick Mahomes must know, he isn’t getting at least 20% back?

If someone is consistently compounding at 20% plus they're not doing it for anyone else, and no way are you telling everyone how you do it. You can hit 20% in a year, but not year over year consistently.

You said “interest,” which isn’t possible. It is possible to invest and get 20%.

Athletes salaries are always interesting as they on average lose ~55% of their AAV to taxes(federal, provincial/state, municipal, Jock, etc.) and agent fees. So that 215 million is like 100 million take home. No one's feeling sorry for him. But it is interesting to see the breakdowns.

			Cheers>seinfeld
 Except one episode.

“The sea was angry that day my friend “

That may be the greatest 20 minutes of tv.

 Ever.

I find it hard to rewatch any of the older sitcoms just due to the damn laughtracks, they're so distracting. I can rewatch stuff like Arrested Development, Parks & Rec, 30 Rock, and Veep all day long though

As I'm taking the garbage out before bed tonight I noticed a strange bag on my front doorstep, a Taco Bell bag upon closer inspection. Checked my doorbell camera and some Door Dash guy dropped it off at 10:30, which is weird as no one in my house even uses Door Dash. He didn't even knock or ring the bell, so it sat out there for over an hour. If I had caught it when it was fresh and there was an address on the bag I would have probably delivered it myself if it was walking distance, but given the lack of any identifying information and the fact that Taco Bell is not a "reheat later and enjoy" type of place I ended up having some lukewarm tacos as a midnight snack and felt slightly disgusted with myself. It felt wrong just to throw the #### out though

I’ve said as much to my wife about her TV shows and she agrees that they’re terrible. The stuff we enjoy together is great (The boys, house of the dragon) but Ill play some video games while she watches 90 day fiancé and it’s endless spin-offs, Love Island and other shows like that. But whatever she enjoys it and I get some gaming time in.

Some people on 90 day fiancé are just insufferable though, especially that egg shaped weirdo, Ed.

How many times has that guy been on that show? It seems like I've been hearing about him for years.

Yeah, my wife and I have some stuff we enjoy together. Then there's other stuff where we'll be close by to each other, but we're each doing our own thing. I just can't for stuff like Selling Sunset and Love is Blind.
