The Hezbollah attack on the Druze community in Israel happened 3 days after Sheikh Mowafaq Tarif, the spiritual leader of Druze in Israel, made a public speech standing in front of an Israeli flag condemning Hezbollah for putting a wedge between Druze in Lebanon and Druze in Israel, asking Druze in Lebanon not to support them. He has in the past stated that the survival of Druze as a people depends on the existence of Israel where they can live freely. They suffered a lot of persecution historically in neighbouring Arab countries. That is not to say that there are never disagreements with Druze and the Israeli government, but for the most part the Druze in Israel tend to be loyal citizens. I don't think it is a coincidence that Hezbollah attacked them after the speech he made.

For additional context, there has been growing conflict between Druze in Lebanon. Some are loyal to Tarif, but others have become loyal to a leader in Lebanon who has decided to align with Hezbollah. Part of the reason for this alignment is that while Hezbollah is no doubt a terrorist organization, they are also opposed to ISIS and have power in areas of Syria where ISIS operates and Druze live. A case of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend". And I think everyone no matter what side of the Israel-Palestine conflict you are on, would become triggered to see how ISIS treated Druze. It's really sick stuff, so it's not hard to see why Druze in those areas would seek support from Hezbollah.
