Default Phone punch tool, anyone know what it is?

You know those blocks Telus uses when phone lines come into the house, there's a punch tool used to punch in the wires. I currently just use a screw driver and jam it in, but thought I do enough telco stuff that I should probably get the right tool.

Anyone know what they use? It's not the kind with a straight blade, those are for the bigger breakouts like the ones in offices.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

EDIT: The block kind of looks like this:

I know what you are talking about. It is the tool that forces the phone wire into the block between the terminals. For weird stuff like that you can try House of Tools, or perhaps Princess Auto (they have a lot of obscure stuff)

If it's what I'm thinking of, I think you get one when you buy the Leviton phone or Cat5e ends at Home Depot. If it is, I'm sure I've got about eleventeen of them around the house.

Or go and spend $5 at Home Depot- I'm sure you can make use of a cat5e end at some point.

I know the tool you are talking about, we used it at my last job when someone moved and we needed to punchdown their station on a new block.

I would check www.blackbox.com, they are pretty good for any type of networking or cabling equipment.

This might work for you http://blackbox.com/Catalog/Detail.a...,1302&mid=3937

Good page here too http://www.action-electronics.com/paladin.htm

If it's $5 I doubt it's what' I'm thinking of, these punch tools are usually expensive.

I wonder if this is the one:

Yeah, I think the 110 blade is for the business style ones though, this one the blade would have to around the post and the wire fits into the slot in the middle of the post.

Ah, the one that comes in the Leviton packs are a 110 block

And with it included with a $5 item; it's obviously a poor man's version.
