I think my TV broke when Liv twirled during that Dom/Liv/Rhea segment last night.

What a fun storyline!

They need to do a "Custody of Dominick Mysterio match". I'll be sad if that doesn't happen. I can't believe that's a match that can repeat itself in 2024.

Dom is gonna help Liv win at Summerslam

Amazing how much I’ve enjoyed the product over the past year+ compared to 2016/17

The fact that skinny, timid 'Dom, simping left right and centre (except for his 'freakout' on Liv last night) is the central figure in a love quarrel bewteen Rhea and Liv is hilarious, he constantly looks like he's in over his head in that situation and he knows it. Perfectly cast for this IMO haha. His turn on Rhea at SummerSlam will generate insane heat.

I wonder if they'd give us a Rhea vs. Dom match... They had Rhea vs. Akira Tozawa months ago. I don't think anyone would doubt Rhea could beat up Dom in real life.

Everyone should give Dom his flowers. Back when he was in a tag team with Rey he felt like an obvious "nepotism baby". Yet he's grown so much being in the stable. He's slimmed down quite a bit as well. He's obviously not Eddie Guerrero in the ring, but plays the role so well. I doubt anyone expected him to get over like this.

I still go back and watch his Thanksgiving invasion from time to time. I wish they would have gone back to that well a few more time. They should have had him and Rhea show up for Christmas, Rey's birthday, Cinco de Mayo, etc.

Dom turning on Rhea and Finn Turning on Damian at SummerSlam would provide for a pretty good angle for all involved.

You'd have a "New" Judgement Day with Finn, JD, Carlito, Dom, and Liv...and helps push Finn back into more of the Middle-Upper Card where he belongs. Also probably become a heel stable that gets fed to Wyatt Sicks eventually while protecting Rhea and Damian.

Priest and Rhea would probably still be "Allies" but not an official faction, and pushes them even further towards the face reactions they are getting already.

For Liv and Dom the whole story becomes a bit of a hybrid of the Chyna-Eddie story, and the Trish / Christian / Jericho storyline that got Trish and Christian pretty good heat back at WM20. Dom playing the role of Trish instead though this time lol.

https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2g1224

Dom could also really lean into the angle of Rhea not respecting him, and treating him like a toy, and being a manipulative partner just like his deadbeat father. Also think now might be the time to start moving Dom from being the "Pushover" to somebody who is actually a bit of a threat in the mid-card himself.

Blood and Guts was entertaining...but honestly between Wargames, Blood and Guts, and Anarchy in the Arena I'm a bit over these "shock fest" matches that are just messy matches with a couple of high spots to shock you.

And then finish to the matches are always a bit of a mess.

Wouldn't mind seeing an actual traditional 8 or 10 man elimination match where you have somebody have to overcome the odds being down 3-1 or something to end the match.

Like what would have been better...the way Blood and Guts ended...or...

Swerve is the final member of team AEW with Okada, Hangman, and Nick or Matt left with a 3-1 advantage.

Hangman goes for the Buckshot and Sweve ducks and hits Okada, allows Swerve to eliminate Okada. Then have Swerve eliminate Matt or Nick, and it's down to Hangman vs Swerve.

Hangman and Swerve are going back and forth, then Okada comes back out and attacks Hangman. Which allows Swerve to get the pin on Hangman and the win for team AEW.

Swerve ends up looking strong which he always hasn't as champion so far.

Hangman and Okada both cost each other a pinfall, which helps protect them and also sets up their match for All In.

And you could have set up Bucks vs Acclaimed and Perry vs Darby in the match too in other ways.

I feel like both AEW and WWE rely too much on the spots in these matches instead of telling the actual story in the ring.

I love MJF though. He's a top three heel with Gunther and Drew. Love his work right now.

I agree with everything else you said. Ospreay/MJF is top notch work. They should give them another hour, and let them close out All In... I wonder if they have the balls to let Maxwell go over in front of Ospreay's home crowd.

All In should be a great card though:

Acclaimed vs Young Bucks
Ospreay vs MJF
Swerve vs Danielson
Darby vs Perry
Okada vs Hangman
Mariah vs Toni Storm
Britt vs Mercedes

And still feel like probably a couple others since guys like Mox, PAC, Orange Cassidy, and others aren't even on that card.

It's more sloppy booking from TK though. PAC won a 4-way to get an International title shot at All In and now they just randomly removed him from it with relatively no explanation? It really does feel like they're booking week-to-week instead of long-term, or else why have that 4-way match in the first place. It's a very WCW move.

In the end I'd rather see MJF vs. Ospreay again, but how we're getting there is stupid.

I completely forgot about Pac winning that title shot, as I'm sure Khan did as well. Maybe they'll give some kind of explanation next week for the change?

Also maybe they should let Mox move on? He's been downright terrible in 2024. I know he still brings name recognition to the company, but there are too many miles on his body. He needs a few months off. His work has slipped too much.

It makes sense to give him a break now - he already hadn't been on TV since the 30th of June.

With Okada and Ospreay signed, and MJF and Hangman back from their absences, you have the top of your card relatively healthy right now.

If this was discussed earlier I missed it, but, it sounds like Bryan Danielson's days as an everyday performer are done.

Honestly they should have been done about a year ago. By the time he hits upper middle age, he's going to be a wrestling tragedy.

Summer Slam looks amazing.

Honestly, it's a better card than WM. Everything makes sense and every match has a logical build and with exception to Cody Rhodes vs Solo, you have no idea who is going to win or what is going to happen.

Also interesting to see a WWE PPV with 7 1v1 singles matches, 6 of them being title matches, and no real gimmick matches outside of Rollins as special guest referee.

He shouldn't be allowed to wrestle. Someone (Tony) should put a stop to it. I know Danielson is an adult and capable of making his own decisions, but someone in authority needs to step in and save Danielson's future. Khan is too much of a nice guy to let Daniel down and not give him his last match.

You know what should be stopping him, his wife, and looking at his kids.

He's going to be an absolute wreck at some point.

His later years are going to probably be very bad.

And yeah, Tony should have said its enough a year ago.
