Early reports are that republicans plan to attack Harris as being “weird”. Yeah that’s gonna just absolutely kill it with the electorate because putting her against Trump in a weird-off seems like a fantastic idea

I dunno I’m not sure she can win but the GOP seems to have completely ignored the possibility of Biden not running and they’re scrambling to attack. It speaks a lot to the current American political climate as their only course of action is to attack since they don’t have policy issues to discuss. Four months to go.

Other than being on the wrong side of the argument, his point would be well taken: you can lose your democracy without firing a shot, but getting it back will likely involve blood.

This is why Trump's torrent of lies about the 2020 election and the integrity of all of America's pillars of government are so dangerous: if you believe them then revolution/war is a justified response.

I hear a fair amount of enthusiasm coming from semi-apolitical people who were dreading this election.

The short campaign could really work in her favour as I think there will be a bubble of excitement that can last until November.

The fact that she is in charge of protecting the most important human being on the planet boggles the mind, nevermind in charge of protecting former Presidents, candidates, etc.

Turns out the "sloped roof" she claimed was a safety hazard was a total lie as it was pointed out there was another sniper team on a roof with a larger slope. But of course we all knew it was a lie.

But hey, literally nothing strange about anything that happened that day.

And now we have POTUS deciding he isn't running for President, telling the world with a post on X (must piss Fuzz off because OMGFREESPEECHMAGAPLATFORM!!!@#@!#FAE@#!E!@), and then literally being a no-show. I mean maybe a press conference should happen?

And on top of top of that, the former President Obama has still no endorsed Harris, which makes it pretty obvious that she is a complete #### candidate, given that I'd rather trust his judgement than someone who doesn't know what century he is living in. But of course we knew that as well, given the fact that Harris told everyone that Biden was a-okay. Till he wasn't.

But hey, everything is going great!
