On the official blue prints the concourses are measured by how many Ram trucks they can fit.

Are they African or European Rams?

The big thing is ensuring you have multiple concourses.

With some of the new arenas the concourses are actually more narrow than the Saddledome.

The difference is you have the street level restaurants, the main 100 level concourse, and then full concourses at the 200 level (and 300 level in some arenas).

So the difference is that you're spreading the traffic out.

The issue with the Saddledome is often misrepresented as the concourse being too narrow, which isn't the case, the issue is all of your 100 level, 200 level, and 300 level guests go to the same concourse, which is almost impossible to navigate.

That's a bit of the issue with Rogers Place too...the Upper Concourse kind of sucks...fewer options that almost encourage you to go back to the main concourse.

Yup, looks like there's multiple concourses as well. I look forward to dropping drinks onto Oiler fans.

Being pedantic but they used overtime instead of over time here...

The building can accommodate improved and modern technologies when they become available to convert from primarily gas-powered equipment and machinery to electric, overtime.

This is not detailed at all but it provides some insight into where the floorplan might have issues. Maybe near the SW entrance going to the west end and again by the Flames store in the NW corner.

The Saddledome has two chokepoints on the concourse that really do impede traffic quite a bit.

Just my opinion probably but y’all should start a new thread about it the actual updated details rather than just editing the old one.

Based on the limited floorplans we saw today, the end-zone concourses will be narrower than the side-zone concourses, so they could be pinch points as they are in the current building. We'll see what the detailed floorplans reveal.

There should also be a seperate thread for complaining about getting a new state of the art rink and/or the layout and/or the lack of chuckee cheeses in the lobby.

I was hoping it would be the Telus Terrordome.

I don't think there's any details yet.

But conisdering how easy it would be to do with the current empty canvas we have now, and the station going to be underground anyway - it would seem looney to not build an underground tunnel the 1 block.

Must Scotiabank and rogers be attached to everything? And another 'Place'? So boring.

Otherwise, yay

Question is will the attached restaurants or concourse concession stands be more cost-friendly?

I bet popcorn and drinks will set you back more than a handheld dish at a neighboring sit down place.

Sadly lord Katz up the highway set a terrifying precedent there...
