The nice part about the "Fire" part is that I think that design probably will look pretty nice even without the lighting to make it look like fire.

You can kind of see it in two of the photos where the lighting is more dim but it will probably look pretty good even in the day with the lights off.

And then of course the "Ring of Fire" effect is going to be pretty sweet effect when walking into a Flames game.

I think it looks excellent. It's a 9 for me and the last design was a 4 or 5. I also love the fireplace look it has going and I don't believe it will age poorly as long as the Flames are calling it home.

Is it just me, or does the subtle sloping roof give off a little Saddledome homage?

It’s a nice touch if so, even if they didn’t mention it at all.

I think they absolutely nailed it.

Hokey or not, I appreciate the attempt to incorporate our natural landscape into the building itself.

I would like to hear about their flood mitigation measures since so much of the building is underground

I guess I get why they didn’t, but it still feels kinda bad that they didn’t mention Ken King even in passing. That dude spent half his career trying to make this happen.

Not sure what some here were expecting. I think it looks great all things considered.

I'm shocked nobody got hurt with everyone patting themselves on the back that hard. The design itself looks fine, we'll see what it actually looks like when completed. I prefer simple classic designs that will stand the test of time but I must have missed the email where they asked me to help design the building

If it is anything like Rodgers place it will be

1. annoying any time someone leans forward because it totally blocks your view
2. shoulder to shoulder uncomfortable seating
3. a terrible shortage of bathrooms.
