^ classic example of function over form! That concourse may not look great at first glance, but having external, covered walkways, connecting the surrounding shops and restaurants, would be fricking awesome!

I'm just hoping for a lot more standing tables for people to hang out pre game. Current Saddledome concourse is brutal for handling food and drinks, there's hardly any place to put down anything while getting all the concessions in order.

Chokepoints in concourses absolutely scream function and well designed.

Agreed that that one is a chokepoint, but the concept is a great one.

Yeah, that concourse looks brutal. narrower than the saddledome.
Make the concourse walkable and double the restrooms. Everything else is superfluous

Curious how many have “I hate this!” Pre typed so they can hit “post” as soon as the press release comes out.
I guess they can’t reply as they would have to retype their predetermined opinion.

Not me, I'm super excited to finally see some more details. Anything is an improvement to the Saddledome at this point IMO.

That is just 1 part of it. The combination of ground floor concourse and upper concourse spreads people out really well.

The Detroit arena. You can see the Red Wing player holding cup in the background.

From what I've heard, I think most people are going to be pretty happy with what they see

The official naming of the arena will be a separate event so that the corporate sponsor can have their day in the sun.

I'm curious to see if/when the adjacent hotel across the street will be announced (which is part of the Rivers District master plan).
