So I think Biden resigns the Day after the RNC is done or at least the process starts in earnest. Strategically this is the correct time.
1) it prevents the RNC from attacking potential candidates at a well covered media event.
2) it knee caps the post convention bump from VP announcements and the positive media cycle
3) it changes the narrative leading into the Democratic Convention where you have a 1 month “primary like event” for support to coalesce which will be media cat nip to push your new candidate from obscure to the public eye.
4) it ends the trump assignation news cycle.
So I suspect on Monday Biden announces he is stepping down with now through Sunday increasingly significant people start calling for his resignation with Obama calling for it Monday if he hasn’t agreed to resign by then.
Seriously wonder if Bidens health at the present moment is setting the stage for this. The man looks absolutely decrepit; the "leader of the free world" can't look like Grandpa Simpson on life support.
I know we talk about Trump being a con artist but man, Biden's team and family must be something else in their own right. The man is physically and mentally done for all intents and purposes as a leader of this magnitude. His team and handlers must be thinking they are living in the 30's and 40's trying to conceal President Franklin Roosevelt's paralysis and being in a wheelchair. In that case, most of the electorate didn't know he was in a wheelchair and it was hidden from the general public as best as possible.
I am one who could clearly see the President was in decline for a while but knew it wasn't to the degree that he was a drooling vegetable but was far from what the White House and Democrats led on. In posts previously I always speculated that the risk involved in continuing this was massive, zero upside for the Democrats and for Biden's legacy. If he lost, he would be considered effectively one of the worst Presidents in modern history for allowing someone like Trump to make a run and win.
The grasp in holding onto that power and the ego involved with everybody in positions that allow this and Trump to do what he does is shocking. These are suppose to be the people who best represent the American people and the American worker and their families? I dunno about that.

Yeah, I'm also not a fan at all of everyone around Joe who are enabling/forcing the man to stay in and who knows, it may even be Joe himself insisting, but I think many of us, if Joe was our family member, would have pushed him to withdraw a long time ago to allow the man to enjoy his life, relax, but most importantly not add any unnecessary stress to his life. It's not a nice way to treat an older man in his current state.

They allow the Republicans to cheat and steal, and get their asses kicked taking "the high road".
Just like 2016, they are once again going to run the only person capable of losing to Donald Trump. That debate ended things. Period, full stop.
