The radar is starting to look colourful to the NW. I was away a couple of weeks ago and missed those storms, and it has been hot and dry ever since.

I'm going to cover my patio furniture now so.... bring it!

My offices are in the financial district downtown in one of the large financial towers and while walking around the PATH with a colleague after lunch, experienced power shutdowns in multiple towers.

Well that was rough, power is back on on Toronto for us, but many still without. People were actually calm and collected, didn't see any panic where I am.

Was nice to go off grid for a few hours! Now back to mindless doom scrolling.

Storms have been a big bust so far in the Calgary area. Was hoping for some big ones to come rolling through.

I thought it would help with the heat a bit and also give my fruit trees some much needed water but it looks like we got screwed. Thanks a lot Environment Canada!

After you've had the windows in your house smashed out once with giant hail, you start to appreciate the storms that don't amount to anything.

It is too early to get excited about the extended forecast but my phone says it might be 37 on Tuesday.

The worst thing about this weather is when taking ctrain and you get on one of the newer trains...they have that AC blasted to -40C and feels like you're standing in a Costco freezer the whole time.

And then you get off the train and it's like you're in the Amazon forest.

Thats how they try and induce ridership.
