All that needs to be said about Trump is that he did not submit to the peaceful transition of power. That's it.

If you don't understand that this is the foundation upon which democracy is built, there is likely no helping you.

Do I want a guy who mixes up words, is in clear mental decline, often stares at the camera like a deer in headlights? No.

But is it better than someone who has shown that they will turn any and every lever to stay in power after losing an election? Obviously.

Like it's not even close, and it's the only thing you need to think about.

Imagine a world where Trudeau claims that he won in the wake of losing an election... And then pressures law makers, members of Parliament and cabinet, provincial legislators and premiers, the military to make it so.

He consolidates power. Uses state run media to float his lies and then claims that all that has to happen in order to stay in power is have Christia Freeland declare it and it will be so.

#### Trudeau? Nah, it would be worse than that.

But it's truly unimaginable. Even you don't hold him with that little regard.

I think a lot of people don't realize that a lot of things aren't actually codified into law. Trump is so dangerous because he has shown he will ignore the normal process in order to claw at power. The world does not need a more paranoid and angry Trump.
I'd be concerned about retaliation if I was one of the people pushing his criminal and civil cases. I bet he could throw Biden in jail and his base would cheer.

He's already threatening to go after Zuckerberg, which, coincidentally, is a huge Musk Xitter competitor.

Trump already has partial control of the courts, as has been shown in the document case, and the Supreme Court seems to have no qualms about breaking from previous norms to cater to the Christofacists and consolidate right wing power. How anyone with a functioning brain and a soul could vote Republican at this point is baffling, unless you really think places like China under the CCP are a good way to live?

I do not follow American politics closely, but have been trying to keep up with this thread for a few days.

The amount of conspiracy theorists in this thread is crazy. Unreal that people can throw on the foil hats and regurgitate information like that.

It's a weird economy right now. There are lots of jobs, and economic indicators are good, but inflation continues to hurt everyone and was always going to be Biden's biggest obstacle.

The message Biden or someone needs to get across is that Trump's plans to fight inflation are completely bonkers and will make things dramatically worse.

The economic conditions inherited by Biden were tough, and the current administration along with the Federal reserve have done a rather remarkable job of taming inflation while keeping the economy rolling, but hardly anyone sees it that way.

The fact that Biden can't get that message across is the biggest reason he needs to go.
