Give me Grushnikov. Morin's lack of development last year was very, very concerning.

I am nervous that Gridin is going to the Q. Terrible development league.

Pretty crazy that a prospect like Morin is still kicking at 9, speaks to how Conroy has really improved this pool in short order.

I heard he was focusing on his defensive game more this season, plus he dealt with some injuries?

A drop of in points doesn't concern me , we don't need him to be lethal on offense with the likes of Parekh, Brz, Mews, Poirier, etc. Just be that solid top 4 TWD.

Still going with Poirier, had a major injury and came back and still produced at a good level. I do know his defense is still sus but the offense he provides makes up for it. Surprised he hasn’t gone yet, I would’ve had him before Pelletier or Honzek.

Toss up between Stromgren and Morin, but it feels like Stromgren has an easier path to being an NHL player.
Stromgren it is!

Eh, maybe. And I confess I have not watched him closely at all. Highlights I have watched have been mediocre. From a stats perspective only, his team performed worse and he was on the ice for more goals against this season.

But, his points went down pretty notably and his performance in playoffs was poor. He wasn't the leader his team needed.

I think that the Q is a fine junior league, producing some of the best junior teams comparatively, but a bad development league.

It's crazy that we're getting close to double digit rankings and there are still so many prospects on the board with legit NHL upside. There may be as many as 10 left that could see NHL action.

Is there something I am missing with Stromgren?

27 points in 68 games doesn't exactly scream top 10 prospect to me.

Last preseason he looked fine in a try out, but again not a guy i'd really feel to looking out for.

was he that good to end the season for the wranglers?

Almost all of those points came in the final 30 games of the season, he had a huge uptick in production to end the season.

I'm more confused on Grushnikov. Not a big fan of his game, not sure why people think he is a top 10 prospect in the org.

I know I look at progression arcs for all players.

Stromgren likely has one of the steepest recent arcs of any Flames prospect.

From non prospect, to moving up the depth chart in the AHL, to looking like he jumped again in the summer camp.

He could stall out again, but he's on a good pace.

He's the shiny new toy from development camp.

Morin again. I was away so I didn't get a chance to dive into the dev camp stuff, but seeing him being signed, I think confirms he is continuing to trend in the right direction. I thought he was one of the better players in Penticton last year.
