Paul Skenes gets pulled after throwing a no-hitter through 7. Sitting at 99 pitches. Baseball going to baseball. Such an arbitrary number 100 pitches is and costs a potential special moment for the kid/league.

And yet pitchers are getting hurt constantly. Can’t have it both ways really, so what is the answer?

Better for him to not have a no hitter and not need elbow surgery, imo.

Pitching is a max-effort business now, and that much max effort is bad for your body.

Well that was the worst rendition of the National Anthem I've heard in my life.

Oh my, listened to it again, because I was in the other room for most of it.

That definitely has to go in the hall of fame.

Drives me nuts to see Teoscar doing well with other teams. He was always a good player.

Yep. Atleast Teo has been hitting some nukes. A lot of line drive hitters who just don't have the bat speed to go off.

Was he? He could always hit home runs. He was streaky. To me that just screams undisciplined. He was always going for the bombs. When he was working it was happening. When it wasn't he was swinging at everything and missing badly. His fielding was also shaky. DH is a role best suited to him, but when he wasn't doing well he was a pain to watch.

Happy for Teo. You can tell he really wanted to win...camera is expecting to see Teoscar smile when Witt was coming back but he was stone cold and he just said he was happy Witt missed.

Bobby Witt's mom wanted Bobby to win more than he did.

As we've talked about the day to day comfort he (and Gurriell)have and would give Vladdy would have made Vladdy a better hitter these past two years and the team better. That overrules the fielding averageness.

DH role was Belt last year and Turner this year.

Apparently Ingrid Andress, who sung the National Anthem at the Home Run Derby last night, was drunk and is now checking herself into rehab.

Nathan Flewelling drafted in the 3rd round 94 OA by Tampa Bay.

Catcher from St Joe'e HS/Red Deer Braves & Gonzaga commit you can see currently playing for Sylvan Lake Gulls.

Couple of other Alberta kids still on the board with 2 rounds to go.

For people who didn't want to search for it.

Is it really drunkenness? Seems like a terrible personal style more than anything.
