When it's not raining. Or snowing so much that they.can't get all the plows down from the ski hills because, it hardly snows there so nothing's in the city budget for snow removal.

Vancouver is probably one of the best cities in Canada to visit, if not THE best.
Hockey team is trash though. And their fans are Star Trek-loving nerds.

Back in 2002, I heard it was easy to get Canucks tickets, so figured I’d take my gf (now wife) to a game. I should’ve checked the schedule - the only game while we were there was against the Leafs. On a Saturday night.

I find Vancouver beautiful for the most part.
As a place to visit.
I'd never want to live there. It has it's attractions but it also has it's detractions.
One can ignore the latter over a short enough visit and just focus on the former. But living there? I'd never do it.

I used to visit every second summer and spend 2 weeks there, loved it. Then the company I used to work for transferred me there and worked there for 5 years, didn't hate it but 5 years was enough for me.

The traffic makes me hate living here. An hour to get to and from downtown is brutal. With no traffic it is about 18 minutes from my house. So much construction and restrictions in place, every road you turn onto has something going on. The endless construction and development is super annoying.
Canucks have, kind of, reached out again about a job. But the conversation literally starts with "this place is such a mess we have to tear it down and start over. Interested?". My response has been you're not really selling it very well. Building operations continue to be terrible. Not overly interested at the moment.
