I think they could turn Harris into a solid candidate. She'll have all the best resources and isn't really fundamentally flawed. She was popular right after the election.

This is the point, I have no doubt Biden has been one of the best Presidents of my 62 years, in terms of policy up there with LBJ, head and shoulders beyond Obama, but he can't win now

The pressure is mounting incredibly on Biden tonight. I think he will leave the race by Monday.

I have lots of reasons to not like the Democrats, but Biden's undisputed resolve to defend Ukraine (and Republicans inexplicable non stop blocking of aid) has firmly convinced me that Trump or Republicans as they currently are led should never be in power (that and Jan 6 and the whole Trump presidency and Wade vs Roe).
It pains to see a man deteriorating before our eyes like this.
We are watching someone with dementia deteriorating at an accelerated pace, and Democrats tried to hide the deteriorating until they couldn't, almost to the point of sabotaging. He can barely read a teleprompter. Once the teleprompter is off, even when primed for questions ahead, he is losing track of his sentences continuously, called Zelensky Putin, and Harris Trump. Questions are solely focused on him for all the wrong reasons. It's not even about his policies.
Dementia is no joke, he is not getting better, I seriously don't think he will last November at this rate let alone 4 years.
This election should not be about Biden's health and age yet it is because Democrats foolishly allowed this to occur. Democrats absolutely need to get someone else, and I don't think Harris is it though some news media are already calling for her as replacement and the media is already making way for it to occur. Time to get Pete Buttigieg in? He's everything that eliminates many of Biden's shortcomings, age being one of them. 2020 was too early for him, as a last minute candidate maybe it's time to look for him to lead?

They essentially have until the convention on Aug. 19th to get a replacement in there, but Joe seems to be deteriorating rapidly. If they're serious about saving democracy, someone better convince him to step down immediately. Like by next week.
Personally I think Biden has been a good president, but the dude clearly needs to do the right thing and end this for the sake of the country. Otherwise the U.S. is in for a VERY rough ride when Trump regains power, everything goes to s***, and America as we once knew it disappears for good.

It's sad that if he manages to hang on and gets crushed in the election because of this, that is going to be legacy and what everyone remembers. He deserves to be remembered for his life long public service and being a genuinely good person. Politics forces some unpopular decisions at times, and even mistakes, but I do honestly believe his intentions were at least honest.
Also, you just know Putin is watching and licking his chops. After the last debate, a Russian reporter asked him if he watched, and Putin said he did and went on to make some pretty smug comments.

I know right. Here is a great Fox-esque article from… the Washington post?

Clearly, something happened during the pandemic to make a lot of Californians decide it was time to move. Failures in crime, education and homelessness are the likely culprits. Crime rates have risen significantly since 2019, with homicides jumping an astounding 41 percent. Violent crime rates leveled off in 2022 in some areas but continued to increase in others.

I agree with the potato chip guy and would add that California sucks super hard and no one should ever go there for any reason. I hear great stuff about Texas and Florida though check those out they’re unbelievable awesome. They got beaches and freedom and cheap stuff it is perfect

Cali has been losing population since the mid nineties, it has little to do with crime, it has everything to do with high real estate costs

I’m not saying Biden has dimentia but the Debate worked in the same manner as a diagnosis. So now what used to be played off as a Biden gaff that was funny but harmless is no a sign of mental decline.
I don’t think that’s unreasonable.
