Exactly. It’s quite nice reading people whine about the heat and thinking “Ah, the poors are restless again.”

Today is a lot more pleasant. A little bit of a breeze, not quite as hot. As a non-AC peasant (for now), I have been trying to be disciplined with opening and closing windows at the right times, etc. but it has been a losing battle.
Today I'm letting the breeze roll through the house because if it is going to be 27 in here no matter what I do, I may as well have 27 with moving air, instead of 27 with still air.
I didn't want to to cut my grass in 34 (more for the grass than me), but today's the day.
I can do 27-29 outside all summer, with a few 30-ish days thrown in. 34 is a bit much. I'm liking the forecast coming up - mid to high 20s, maybe a drop of rain here and there.

Not really.
I generally enjoy warm climates, except at home. Because when I'm in Mexico I'm typically lounging by a pool, enjoying the sea breeze, sipping on a cold drink, enjoying the tropical air and I can take a dip in the pool or retreat to my preposterously air-conditioned room.
Ditto Vegas.
Whereas at home I have to worry about mowing my lawn or other household chores and in 35 degree heat and that sucks.
Oh. And its a 'dry heat' which means theres no reprieve with a breeze or anything its essentially living in an oven. Which also sucks.

Ya when its 35° degrees out, the slight breeze is like going from a regular oven to a convection oven. Thanks wind Gods, just what I needed - more heat blown at me.

Do what people who live in hot climates do and get any stuff done outside by 11 am or after 7 pm.

Mine would do the same. I just installed some heat blocking tint film and wow I wish I did that years ago, especially considering how cheap and easy it was. At least 4-6 degrees cooler now.

Do you know what. I will take 3-4 days of +35c if it means no smoked filled days.
