Anyway have your opinion...to say its "crazy" to say their #1 dman ia more important is wrong though...anyone who actually follows that team knows what Forsling is.

We know you are completely biased against any ex Flames player lol.
He tied the lead in scoring in playoffs for the Panthers. Barkov is underrated. But he also did nothing in the playoffs with Huberdeau, until Tkachuk showed up.
Make no mistake, we wouldn't be talking about a Panthers playoffs run without Tkachuk.

They traded for Huberdeau, gave him all this money, and nobody to play with.
They didn’t try Sharangovich with him until the new year - that should’ve been from Day 1.
Kuzmenko is the highest skill player they’ve added since Huberdeau’s been on the team.
Mantha is the first example of the Flames bringing in a player specifically to play with Huberdeau.
Huberdeau shares in the blame - he is the worst “franchise player” I’ve ever seen with the puck on his stick. He cannot carry it to save his life, and I don’t understand it. His linemates never expect his weird twitchy passes, and that’s not going to get better if they trading away players who have proven they can work with him.
But there is clearly still a productive player in there - it’s on the Flames to help draw that out.

Barkov was invisible in the 2023 playoffs. He also had 20 playoff games with Huberdeau and his ppg is .9
45 with Tkachuk .85
He didn’t elevate Barkovs game. Barkov elevated his game and him taking on the tough matchups and still scoring allowed Tkachuk and Huberdeau to enjoy playing on the 2nd line.
Again it was 1-1 when McDavid took on Barkov 5 on 5.

Somebody was going to get Lindholm 50 goals. I wonder who he was going to play with.

Well we thought Lindholm was a player. He is not. He’s a complimentary player.
Huberdeau also needs a driver on his line. Lindholm doesn’t drive lines.

It was "obvious" that Lindholm is a great player. Huberdeau's words, not mine.

"I highly doubt Lindholm gets 40 goals ever again. Certainly not with me, since neither of us can drive a line. I think Nazem Kadri and Mikael Backlund can drive their lines, but they aren't top players. They're good at what they do, and we need players like that.
I thought I'd be plying my trade in Florida the rest of my career, and I was pretty surprised that I got traded. I'm mad that we won one round in my entire time there. It's difficult to play in the playoffs; my game is really not suited for that type of hockey. If I have a coach that lets me roam around in the regular season, I can get a bunch of points with fairly cheap wingers, though.
I'm very happy that Brad Treliving provided me with the retirement contract that I wanted, and I'll do great things for the Calgary and Southern Alberta communities."
I'd respect the truth.

Yeah most teams dont win without multiple good players...Im so biased but Florida media that voted agreed with me that other players were more important to their cup run.

No athlete has ever talked like that in public. You don't trash your own teammates, especially when you've just arrived yourself, and you don't dismiss your own abilities like that.
The thing you say you would respect isn't actually truth, anyway. It's your opinion, and players are not under any obligation to agree with it.

Why stop at 50 then? Why not 60? 75? 90? If you're playing with someone who's "obviously" a "great player", then either you truly are and you failed dismally, or you're lying to placate people.
Allen Iverson went in front of the media and rebuked them on the notion of being able to make teammates better by practicing.

Apparently you don't get how braggadocio works. You have to keep it within plausible bounds, or people will laugh at you and spoil the effect. But you also aren't under an obligation to fulfil it, because people know you're just running your mouth.

No, and I'm proud that I don't. According to this it means empty boasting, which seems about right.

And if the Panthers won last year, Tkachuk was the front runner. It is a very small sample size.
Yes, Tkachuk was less impactful overall than last year. But he still led the team in points. Just because Barkov was playing unreal doesn't mean Tkachuk was less important to the run.
And remember, the narrative for years was that Barkov was a ghost come playoffs. Just like the narrative was that Tkachuk was bad in the playoffs.
They both are awesome players and they aren't winning with one and not the other.
Hockey is a team game. You can't win with only one good player. Every player plays a role. But I suggest that since Tkachuk joined the Panthers they have had playoff success. And several players have said Tkachuk turned the attitude in the room around last year.

And a new coach, and new systems, and multiple other players, and their 10M backup turning into top 5 probably top 3 lol.
Think what you will, I think he is their 4th best player...maybe 5th.
The attitude in the room wasn't that great when they had 93 points and were down 3-1 to Boston. Bob came in and played statistically some of the best hockey in NHL history. I also doubt someone watches the Panthers much if they scoff at Forsling. I'm telling you he is a top 5 shut down D with added offence.
Look buddy we aren't gonna agree so move along...your argument consists of "you hate Tkahcuk" like 4th best player on the best team is some kinda insult.
#1 goalie, #1 D, #1 Center...that is how champions are built. Nobody is winning cups because of a Winger IMO

That is exactly what it means. More fool you if you actually believed what he was saying and think that gives you a case against him.

Yeah, I had no idea he was empty boasting (no sarcasm). I really don't need that from an $84 million floater winger after we lost our two star players.
