Where did our Lipinski voters from round 1 go? I was hoping to see some continuation!

Went Wolf here with everyone else. Next round I'll have to think about a little more. Leaning Coronato at the moment

Went Wolf.

It's exciting. We could have our #1 franchise D in the system now, and our #1 goalie.

We are a #1C prospect and another start away from having something to build around.

Misa just has the sneaky good feeling that he will be something.

Went Wolf, tough call though with Brz and Bison on the board.

Well, sure - every team has but 2 or sometimes 3 goalies playing significant numbers of games. They have 12-14 forwards. Just those odds are stacked against Coronato.

But I still took Wolf. He's going to get a big shot this year. Maybe bigger than Coronato.

I'm still pretty apprehensive about Wolf and see him as a long shot to be an NHL starting goalie. I am not ready to downplay likelihood of reaching his projected ceiling this early in the rankings. I feel like there are a players ahead of him that have high enough ceilings and are far more likely to get close to them.

I hope and think they slap him to Backlunds wing to develop his game.

Not to get ahead of myself, but you saw what Reinhart did this season. I don't see 50 goals, but if we a have a winger in the top 6 who can create his own shot which he can, and play well on the other end that is going to be huge.

Especially when you get into the playoffs a game 7, plays are hard to make. Some of those passes don't work, you want guys that can create their own shot.

The best goalies in the world give up stinkers. It's a question of timing and frequency. It's just that it always gets blamed on small goalies' size instead of other issues (athleticism, positioning, poise, whatever).

No other prospect left has done as much thus far to present as a future core piece in this organization. He may not end up being it, but so far, I see no reason to assume he won't be.

What I did find the most surprising is that Wolf is only the 3rd last name on the list. Maybe the scouts are really just drafting by available letters? ha! (yes, I am the only one that would see humour in that joke).

It seems they may be a fickle bunch.

the Flames have two prospects who are in the conversation for top prospect in the league at their position. When you are among the best in the league, you should also be the best of the Flames.

Wolf and Parekh were the easy choices. Gets interesting after this.

Went with Mews. It's more of a gut feeling that he's going to turn into a very well rounded D for the Flames. Glad there are so many good options to pick from!

I didn't pick Coronato because I think that skating limits his potential to a middle 6 forward.

I didn't go with Wolf, because I still think he will get consistently beat by the league's top shooters, especially once there's a book on Wolf, and more video to show some of his weaknesses.

I thought about going with Misa, or Morin, but eventually decided that Mews has the biggest chance to turn into a top pairing D, and a difference maker on a nightly basis.

I agree, for the most part I thought he was outstanding in the playoffs. In the elimination game, there were a couple goals after the Wranglers went up that managed to get in. It was a bit of a momentum killer. The GWG in OT (offside aside) where the puck was pitchforked in. I think a bigger goalie is able to hold the line a bit better, if anything, it looks more egregious when they are moved.

To me it is the consistency of making that one more save. That is what makes a good goalie great. I do think he has it in him to be great, which is why I put him 2nd. As any player the proof will be in the pudding.

I'm in the habit of doubting every goalie since Kipper.

Ortio was supposed to be great since he was picked by Kipper. Then we had a couple of 2nd rounders in Parsons and McDonald. Parsons in particular looked like a stud. Not to mention we had Brossiot whom we conveniently traded for Smid(or so I think). Aside from that Rittich was supposed to be a stud, then Vladar. Not to mention other proven starting goalies like Elliotte, Smith, or Talbot. Even Markstrom turned into a pumpkin for a season.

HM: Irving, Gillies, McBackup, Krahn, Keeley.

I'll happily eat crow on this one, but I have a hard time betting on goalie prospects with the Flames.

I think some people are overthinking this exercise too early in it.

It’s supposed to be fun though so I won’t rain on anyone’s parade..

Just seems crazy to have people saying these top 2-3 options aren't locked in.

Parekh was obvious.

Wolf should be too…

He is being held in the same conversation as Askarov and Wallstadt, easily the two most high profile goalie prospects in the game. Throw in others like Levi and Knight if you want but Wolf is a top 5 goalie prospect.
