People searched for "flights to Wakanda".
Never underestimate people.

2 episodes in, looking forward to the third. It's a masterful slow burn so far. I can see why non B&F readers may be bored with the start. For those of us that have read it, seeing events translate to the screen has been pretty enjoyable. It's actually moving along more quickly than I anticipated.
I agree with people that aren't particularly attached to the characters. They could even go outside of the source material to flesh out the adult versions of these characters to build that attachment. While the execution has been great, it's hard to be affected by the deaths of characters we hardly knew.
The teenaged versions of the main cast were more likable. The vengeful/jaded adults are less so. Maybe it's because things just don't feel earned because they seem like different charactes altogether? Can't put my finger on it.
Viserys was also by far the best character on the show because there was so much to his character and his plight with the succession. Losing him hurt.

I'm not rooting for anyone in particular, but the deaths are still entertaining and exciting in the sense that anyone could go at any time. What GoT has always done well is to have a revolving cast of characters so that when one dies, another seamlessly fills the plot lines.

They're also doing that GOT thing where characters you initially dislike you gain some fondness for over time.
I'm getting that with Otto, which I didn't expect. Mostly because he's the most stoic and makes the rest of the Greens look like morons.
Not quite a Jamie Lannister arc or anything but maybe we'll get one of those.

I agree, Otto's one to watch out for.
That's where the first season fell flat for me. The absence of meaningful narrative arcs made it hard to connect with the characters and understand the world. Instead, the show got bogged down in isolated details and events spread across decades, which hindered emotional engagement. Strong stories and narratives are essential for providing meaning and helping both viewers make sense of the world.
There's a vast improvement this season, and I get they're building on and playing off setups we saw in season one . . . I don't know, maybe S1 was just a little too slow of a burn for me.

I ended up liking Tywin Lannister. Otto could go a similar way for me.

Larys Strong feels like the one to watch out for to me. He's the Littlefinger of this spinoff.

That was a great episode again. Show keeps delivering. Not sure I’m following what Daemon is up to though.

Also a bit confused with that, is he trying to win that army over for himself to eventually go against both houses?

I think he's struggling with his own desire to sit on the throne and supporting his sister's cause with the flashbacks to young Rhaenyra. He's not being overly productive at the time of war for sure.

I don't think Daemon really knows what he's up to. That was a major point of all the dreams, to show Daemon how he has been unintentionally playing in the GoT. For a person like Daemon, even if he wants to be loyal, the power is just always there like a carrot in front of his face. He's going to act both consciously and subconsciously to maintain his best position. Even if that's not being the ruler, there are many reasons in the GoT universe to want to build your own power base. In fact, if I was Daemon I'd want to build a force capable of causing a civil war, just to ensure I don't get wacked by someone else, even if I never intend to challenge for power.

From what they've beat us over the head with for the last couple of episodes is that literally anyone but Aegon is more competent.
I'm assuming that Aemond thought he couldn't take our Sir Christen and finish the job. Leaving Aegon alive, after blatantly trying to kill him, seems like a bit of a death sentence. Maybe he's thinking the rest of the Green supporters will give him a pat on the back for taking out the king, who has pretty much pissed everyone else off already?

Fantastic episode. Daytime dragon fighting was intense. When One-Eyed-####-Face Targryeon killed middle aged Sea Targaryeon it was legit sad.

She was the only half-likeable character on the show
