For a smaller goalie to take up the same amount of space as a bigger goalie, they would need bigger pads.
Because pad size is equal, the only way hed be just as wide as every other goalie is if his body were as wide as every other goalie.

Not true. Some measurements (leg pads width, glove and blocker for example) have a universal maximum size and others are determined by the goalie's body (leg pad height, chest protector, shoulder pads, etc). Basically they removed the ability to have extra width on chest and shoulder pads, so your pads are as big as your body plus the protective layer. It can't prject beyond that.

Gridin definitely didn't have to be picked with 28. Would've preferred one of the "sexier" later picks to have been made there for added enjoyment, but hopefully the kid ends up being a stud to complete the hat trick, because I think Brz and Jurmo are going to be nice pieces for us.
