Just a disaster of an inning all started by a terrible error.

That was the most little league inning ever. Pop's error. HBP's, balls off gloves, Bo's throw and Serven trying to find the plate, Vlad falling over after catching the ball. Looked like a three Stooges skit.

Not just tonight, but on the overall body of work, a retool means if one has to go, it’s Bichette gone over Vlad, all day.

It's not at all totally clear. Bichette has been more consistent with his bat traditionally throughout his career. Add in his more desirable position and there could be an argument made to keep him. I don't know who I'd choose over the other, if any after the past couple seasons, but what I do know is there are no other batters going to get a good return, with the exception of those two. So if they want to take a chance and resign them, pitching has to be dumped, knowing the prospects coming back won't have that high a ceiling as dealing one of those two. But I think that's the route they'll take because...politics and the need to sell a positive story. None of the pitchers are the face of the franchise. I'm very skeptical of Vlad being able to figure it out, plus his physical tendency and where it'll lead down the road. But I do know culturally he's more Canadian and willing to sign, than Bo. So again, I don't know, who will be better to deal, but I'm positive the spineless route is taken and they deal pitching to retool while trying to attempt to resign both. If something goes south in negotiations, only then I can see one of them dealt, and that'll probably be in the off-season after the November meetings.

Saw that Cuas somehow allowed 4 base runners on 3 pitches, including becoming the first pitcher to ever hit 2 batters in 3 pitched. lol at this bullpen.

Vlad yes the Canadian angle, just seems for like the face of the franchise and would choose here.
Bo doesn’t seem like he would choose Toronto.
I’ve come up with this comment before, but an overpay for a fellow Dominican in Soto on an optioned filled long term deal which may end up being only 4 years, who at least seems has the door cracked for hitting the open market.
Next year for SP they would lose Kikuchi but still Berios Gausman and Bassit.
