Most of these emails are fake warnings.

because you can believe anything said in an email

hoaxes like this are easy to spot just with how the email is put together, especially when it comes to the "SEND THIS TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW" part. i verbally abuse any of my friends when they try and send me stuff like this

Yeah, the 'send this to anyone you know' or 'send this to 10 people or your love life is screwed' emails are a bit annoying.

Can't believe how gullible some people are.

This post should be deleted. I'm sure all those people wouldn't like their e-mail address' to be harvested for spam any further or available to the public.

I like e-mails like this. Apparently Norton knows about it ahead of time and is gearing up for it? Since when does Norton know about a virus before it starts to spread?

No kidding. Especially the charity ones.

"For every person you send this to, 1 dollar will be donated to save this poor littles kids life.

You have two minutes to send this to 2,500 people or you will get fat, and never find love, and your dog will get run over and someone will make fun of your hair cut, and someone will eat your lunch at work even though it is clearly marked with your name, etc..."

Norton itself is such a POS it should be considered a virus.

it's worse than a virus, at least with most viruses you can rip them out without having to reinstall the OS. i've seen Norton bury itself so far into windows that the only way to get rid of it is a format/reinstall. it's the worst piece of software that someone can buy

Heh, someone in our IT department got this exact email, and sent the warning to the entire department. The security guy sent back - to the entire group - that this email was a hoax, and not to send such messages to the entire department.

I take offense to that. I am a hoodie-wearing slacker, how dare you compare me to an Apple user??
