Default Weird smell downtown this morning?

Anyone else smell something nasty? It's not the first time I've smelled it, but it seemed almost overpowering this morning.

Noticed it as I got off the C-train at 6th street and it was there until I got to the Shell building.

Anyone know what that nasty smell is?

Maybe the parade is a few weeks early.

Are you talking about an "almost puke" like smell?

If so, it's worked its way into my building.

it smells like Ethonal being made.

I grew up near a town with an ethonal plant, and that is how the town ALWAYS smells.

I noticed it too! I could smell it in Inglewood as I caught my bus, and it was even stronger downtown.

Glad it isn't just my imagination!

Yeah, that's the smell, I'm in my building right now too and I can still smell it. I'm guessing it's either something from all the construction going on downtown, or maybe the sewer system is getting backed up....

Top Shelf, I think that it is in your own head, I don't smell anything. Your dreaming. (I can say that because I am his boss and I share an office with him) LOL

I didn't smell it when I came in this morning at 6:30

Pretty sure it's the smell from the dump being blown into downtown. Happens once in a while depending on the wind. Also I think it happens more frequently during the summer.

More than likely it is the fleischman's yeast plant located beside the old Molson Brewery on the East end of Inglewood. It can smell like that everyone in a while if we get an easterly. I grew up working in Inglewood so I am almost certain.

I noticed something odd this morning too. About 7:45 around 5th ave and 7th street sw. I thought I stepped in kitty cat scat again. Not cool.

Anybody check the CFL schedule? Maybe it's the Eskimos and a bunch of helmetted fans in town.

You know it must be bad when you smell it after you get off the C-Train.

Try living in High River. The smell at night coming from the feedlots is enough to make you gag.
