			2 years would be fine.
2 x $6M total ($3M AAV) would have been perfectly fair for both sides if even a bit of an overpayment by the Flames.

Can’t see Kylington coming back now with Bean signing unless they are moving another D

I like Kylington, I would give him some stability with 3 years and a sub-$3m deal. I do think it's possible some GM throws a good term at him gabling that he really breaks out. I think he still can end up a top pairing d-man he's got incredible skill. Maybe some contract stability will ease his mental health complications.
He's sort of in a similar position as in his draft where he was at one point rated extremely high ended up going mid-round. People have had a hard time pinning down what he is. I think he's worth keeping, personally.

I think with their arvidsson signing the Oilers can’t afford Kylington anymore thankfully. That’s literally the only bad scenario in all this. I really like him and think he’ll do great wherever he goes.

If the Oilers sign Kylington the Flames need to offer sheet Broberg for the most they can where 2nd rounder is the compensation

The Pens, Utah, and Sharks still need defensemen.

His value has definitely tanked today though

Skilly and the Pens make some sense. Would hate to see him in the division. I'd be sad

A defence with Letang, Karlsson, and Kylington?

Eastern conference is fine but is it really out of the question he comes back? I think every team should be interested at what is bound to be a discount price. He can still skate.

Testing free agency doesn't mean he can't ultimately decide to accept the Flames offer (if it still stands).
I doubt there's any bad blood for just wanting to see what the market might have for him.

Given his situation I imagine both sides are having a hard time gauging his value - maybe this is to help figure out what the market it and he ultimately signs with the Flames.
