As for the Canadian ladies, Marina gets Siniakova in round 1 (not too bad, but still a tough match) while Bianca faces Cristian (good draw) and Leylah will take on Bronzetti (pretty good draw as well).

Leylah with a great week in Eastbourne, but loses the final to Daria Kasatkina 6-3 6-4. Has to be a huge boost of confidence heading into Wimbledon.

Shapo takes the opening set 6-1 over Jarry. Really impressive stuff from Denis.
Edit: Denis continues his fine lay into set 2 winning it 7-5. Of note, only two double faults for Shapo through two sets, that's what we like to see.

Yes sir, that first set there wasn't much between the two as Cristian went shot-for-shot with Bianca. Set 2 a little different story as Bianca took over in dominant fashion.

Defending women's champ Marketa Voudrousova eliminated in round 1 earlier today. You have to go all the way back to 1994 and Steffi Graf for the last time that happened.

The tall lanky Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard just eliminated Sebi Korda in five sets. Nobody wants to take on GMP with his big serve on these grass courts.

Bweh just went out in the first round of Wimbledon to Francisco Comesana in four sets. If you're wondering, yes, he did have a couple of meltdowns on court today and needs to talk to someone to get his head straight, just not in a good place currently.

Leylah takes the opening set 6-4 over Bronzetti - I think Leylah was a little nervous to start the match and made some untidy unforced errors, but she found her groove midway thorough the set and won three straight games from 4-3 down.
