Wow. You don't think a guy like this with his attitude and motor are good for the team and the environment around them? Maybe you should watch water polo or something.

If that kid is in the minors, it isn't Lomberg's fault.

And the first person that kid should look to, on how to graduate to the NHL, is Lomberg

Plus Lomberg isn't taking that kids spot. He just took Walker Duehers. Who flatlined.

Worried about Schwindt and Klapka not getting time because of Lomberg?

 |
Exactly. Every kid on the roster should look to Lomberg’s example as a guy that simply forces his way into an NHL lineup through effort and determination.

No downside here.

Nope, it won't be Lomberg's fault. He's just signing the contract and playing his game. The blame will be on the system where guys with one-way contracts and waiver rules make it harder for young guys to push their way onto the roster.

This is a good point. Lomberg managed to carve himself out an NHL career and get a ring. That is something all young players can learn from and should emulate. Do whatever it takes. So, there is benefit there. Maybe Pelletier and Coronato will learn something from him, if the numbers game doesn't work against them.

Which young forwards are really knocking the door down though? Pelletier? Nope. Coronato? Nope. The opportunity to do so is there though, they just need to grab it.

Lomberg is a 4th liner who will play 10-12 minutes a night on the 4th line, and go heard every shift. Exactly what we hoped for from Duehr, but didn't get.

He is not at all in the way of Pelletier or Coronato, or anyone else
