A nice home coming. His gigantic family section in Buffalo when Gilbert scored was great.
Even the Buffalo broadcast was happy when he scored.

Good for him. I was worried nobody would sign him this year, but awesome knowing he is going back home. He was a steadying influence back there for the Flames, and stuck up for his teammates. Good signing for Buffalo who are probably looking for some character.

Haha yeah and bought out a reasonably reliable (if overpriced) 30-ish goal scorer and used all the cap space on… nobody.
