A year ago, six notable Flames vets were one year away from being UFAs — Backlund, Toffoli, Lindholm, Hanifin, Tanev, Zadorov.
Backlund re-signed. The others were flipped for a boatload of assets.
The new deals signed by the others total $194M with a $30.6M cap hit in 2024-25.
