Did anyone see the rumour on reddit about Ricky Starks getting wasted last year in Calgary, only to be arrested?
I don't believe it, as wouldn't there be some kind of record of the incident? Lots of mudslinging going on there. I wonder if we'll ever see him on AEW television again.
Is Swerve the worst booked world champion of all time? He needs to go over Ospreay on Sunday, otherwise he's been booked like a chump the entire time. Did he piss on Tony's cornflakes?... Although Tony prefers a different white powder over sugar.
Feels like Swerve's momentum has plateaued. He's being booked as the semi-heel here it seems, and I think it was a wee bit too early for that. This would have been the perfect time to book him against a heel Okada at Forbidden Door to establish him as a legit champion in a classic babyface-heel feud. That said... I do like the way comedy Okada is being booked right now, he's the best part of the Elite lol.

They turned him face right before giving him the belt, and made him way less interesting in doing so.
It looks like aew in Calgary recently had some tickets go down in price and they released some near ringside seats that weren't previously available.
Just like last year, I managed to upgrade my tickets for a $10 fee. Might be worth looking into depending on where you want to sit and your budget. Ticketmaster charges $10 per ticket to upgrade to an equal or greater value ticket price (but I upgraded from originally $90 row 2 bowl 2 tickets to $105 row 2 floor tickets this time (plus an extra $10 per seat). Those ones were originally in the $300 range if I remember correctly).
First of all, Heyman you bastard. I mean is there any detail that he ever misses, right down to the 5 oclock shadow to it looks like he splashed something in his eyes to make them look like he'd been up for 5 days straight.
But and I hate to say it, he's way to fat and way to old to take a bump like this, and while it was violent and hard, it looks like he landed on his neck more then his back
So I know the tempting thought is to bring Reigns back and have Heyman join him. But with Roman's dad just dying, maybe instead they bring back another Heyman guy one last time.

Terrific work once again by Paul Heyman. My only issue with this continued saga is Solo. He just doesn’t seem believable and lacks “presence.” Maybe he will get better as the story evolves, but his personality and storytelling is very underwhelming.
I'd honestly be fine if Mox and Jericho both went back to WWE for retirement tours. They're brutal.
I never understood the hype for Jon Moxley. His character in AEW bored me. I also never quite got behind the Lunatic Fringe gimmick either. Not sure why but I was just not interested.
I've always loved Jericho and thought he was good at the beginning of AEW but he's at the end of his rope. What he's doing now isn't working for me either.

I wouldn't go that far. As a character in AEW, he drew ratings and helped define the product early on. His feud with Kenny Omega really kickstarted the promotion, and it was a fresh take on the Dean Ambrose character (or more succinctly, a move away from the Ambrose character back to CZW/IWA Moxley). He continues to be a reliable hand and draw for AEW live shows.
There's a difference between overrated in the ring - or overexposed character-wise - and overrated in general. Mox has been integral for the business, multi-time champion for two companies, and puts butts in seats - both at home and abroad.
