That's a reasonable contract for a good secondary offensive player

Until it isn’t in year 3/4.

He's only 29. Chances are pretty good his game doesn't fall off a cliff.

I agree the Leafs should take care of D first, but this looks like a PR signing. A whole generation of Leafs fans have been pining for a Domi on the roster since Tie retired.

Bums on seats.

Good deal for Domi, they now need a goalie and 2 defenseman plus sign Robertson and Dewar with $12m in cap space.

Yeah, it's a fine contract for where they are.

They're probably the last team in the league that needs to be concerned about achieving that goal.

True, but even the Leafs have to do things sometimes to keep the fans happy.

It's not like winning in the playoffs has been an option for them.

That’s a reasonable term and dollar value. But there was something earlier in the year he said where he said he’d come back for the minimum if needed (paraphrased). In any case Domi wanted to be there badly.

Well, 29 year old, 47 points and pretty tough. $3.75M is a good discount for Toronto.

Marner hasn't shown he's a playoff player. I don't know why Tre would extend him.
