We also finished E8
I agree with your thoughts completely.
E6 was outstanding, I thought.

The Bear season 3 was compelling TV still since you’re invested in the characters, but yeah, not much of significance happens and the cliffhanger seems forced, like, look, something is about to happen, oh, to be continued.
I wasn’t sure if it was because my wife and blew through all ten episodes at once but I didn’t really feel like it was a full season’s worth.

I decided after I finished BattleStar Galactica and its rewatch that I would put a hold on Jericho and the second season of the Sarah Connor Chronicles, and I decided to do a rewatch of Angel.
I'm about half way through season 4, which is the season of the first apocalypse, the appearance of the Beast and the reveal of Cordilia as the big bad. This is a series that ages incredibly well. The cast is strong, and bringing back Darla and Drusella, and even Spike made this just a deep season.
Its funny that the overarching big bad is a law firm run by ancient demons trying to bring forth the end of time.
Very creative, strong writing, great cast acting.

I love The Bear so very very much. It’s hilarious while also offering great drama. Am halfway through S3 and would binge the whole thing at once if I had the time.
Also can’t get enough of The Boys and must watch immediately when the episodes are released.
Having trouble getting into House of the Dragon. It’s pretty good but can’t seem to prioritise it over other shows.

The Bear was an absolute mess this season.
The show's typical intensity was put on the back burner, and there was essentially zero narrative focus. Was that intentional? I don't know. Did it work? No.
There were some great moments while exploring supporting characters like Tina and Marcus, which added some depth to the show, but the season juggles too many themes, diluting its impact.
My biggest gripe was that this season felt bogged down by pretentiousness and excessive celebrity cameos that add little to the story. The detailed attention to restaurant culture feels overindulgent, overshadowing character development and narrative progression.
Minor spoilers:
I'm willing to give the final season the benefit of the doubt, but my god what a let down.

I watched the first 3 episodes of The Brothers Sun and so far so good.
It’s about a mild mannered kid who finds out his family is actually part of an organized crime syndicate based in Taiwan. It has a bit of everything, action, drama, and humour.
I have also been watching The Gentlemen and it’s pretty decent if you like Guy Ritchie’s style. I know his style doesn’t appeal to everyone, but I like it.

I didn't start it as Netflix pretty much cancelled it right away.

I should have held off on The Bear praise until finishing season 3. Episode 8 was a complete swing and miss that 9 and 10 failed to make up for.
I don’t mind the artistic style, slower pace, or the unresolved plots, but where did all the amazing dark humour go?

I think Foundation eventually found it's feet. S1 was touch and go but I really enjoyed S2.
As for 'For All Mankind?'
Dude, get back to it. I know it starts a little slow at first but the 'Quality Trajectory' of that show? It goes straight up. That show is fantastic and just keeps getting better.

So I should give Foundation another shot?
Watched the first 5 episodes or so when they were first released. Thought it was terrible so I gave up.

Its a beautiful show. Yes. Season 1 was pretty grim but I felt that Season 2 was getting there.
If you're a fan or aficionado of the books (as I am) you have to let that go.

For All Mankind is definitely worth revisiting, but IMO took a giant step back with the latest season. Too bad, first three seasons were excellent.

If any of you have Amazon Prime you need to watch "Patriot", starring Gordo from For All Mankind.
18 episodes with an actual ending. Espionage with dark humour and satire.
