He was a projected top 20 pick a few months ago.

I was shocked he fell out of the first round.

He can live at home for his ahl and nhl career!

I’m kidding around a bit, but this does actually make a difference; it’s why many players have moms move in to help with food and stability when they turn pro.

This is a really great draft pick.

I’m also really happy for people who have had any contact with him, family or friends. Everyone has just a little bit of glow today!

I resurrected an old team chat and all of us dads are commenting how it was us that got him drafted.

This is someone I thought the Flames would have looked at for the 28th pick so this feels like a bit of a steal.

Rated higher than the guy we got with Vancouver's first. Nice pick!

He's going to need to pick a new number. I'm sure he'll be fine with that.

Sounds like a great pick!

Two questions: where did UpsideHockey have him ranked, and where did Bob have him?

I believe 29 for Upside and 30 for Bob.

Your backpack? Really cool. Not everyone has a backpack to sit next to.

5 points in 5 games. 3rd star of the game in games 1 and 3.

Compared to teammates, McKenna had 6 points in 5, Lindstrom had 2 points in 4.

Seems solid enough.

Points don't mean anything. Watched the games in person. Small sample size.

Others felt he was the 3rd best player on the ice in 40% of the games played. If it's a small sample size it doesn't mean anything positive or negative I guess.

Always nice to pick a local kid when you can find value in the draft. Looking forward to his development.
