I'm saving my 15 bucks until somebody offers to sell me the Verrazzano Narrows Bridge. Go big or go home, I always say.

Between those two D-men, everyone seems WAY more excited for Parekh. Is it because Parekh posted those stats at a younger age, had way more goals, and has an agitator element to his game that Brzustewicz doesn't have? Or, are there other factors? How much separation is there between the two?
Parekh’s skating and hands are on another level from Brzustewicz.

Nice. That's good to hear because Brustewicz looks good.

Boy I tell ya, that Adam Eget sure has a soft and supple set of mitts on him… he must have one hell of a moisturizer.

By the way, Conroy's Scrabble hoard is growing by leaps and bounds. He now has an offensive D prospect with two Z's in his last name, and one with a Z in his first name.

Shaping up really nicely:

x - Parekh
Morin - Brzustewicz
Poirier - x

Yeah, good look defending that NHL if these guys hit. That's fantastic puck-moving and play-driving. The two x's are probably already covered. Flames don't need a #1 defencemen any longer, though they might still find one in this or future drafts. They need a reliable partner to pair with Parekh unless Morin (who I think is the 2nd best defensive prospect on the Flames) can be that guy. They have a lot of what I would call capable defensive guys in the system. Flames are flush now with very good defencemen.

That's a really good looking group. I didn't include Weegar, Andersson or Kylington here, though some or all may be around still. Grushnikov, Miromanov, Bahl, Pachal, etc., etc. - these are all guys who can take some of the x's in the future.

Flames are really building a fairly lethal, modern, puck-moving defensive corps. I really like it.

Insert a couple steady, defender types in Bahl and Grushnikov

This is the first selection in quite a while that has me confident the Flames have picked up a star player. I like everything I'm seeing/reading about this kid.

We'll have one when Captain Cale signs with his hometown team when he's a UFA in our shiny new arena

It is not out of the realm of possibility this kid makes the team this year either… someone posted earlier that 96 points in 66 games as a 17/18 year old doesn’t scream “lots to prove in Junior”

Weegar-Parekh
Andersson-Kylington
Grushnikov-Bahl
Pachal

Probably already said, but can be said multiple times...

THANKS to Sureloss, Scorpion and AC for bringing the local news and feed relevant information to the Flames! You guys are great!

Another Johnny Cash song to go along with ‘Ring of Fire’?

Maybe they can have a Bahl!

I also like that the offensive guys in the system are not undersized - all are 6'0" or taller, and then some of the defensive guys are large and physical. I think it is shaping up to be a well-balanced group overall with high-end talent.
