New Season of CFL Picks!
Ken and I have been discussing starting up the CFL picks pool once again and since we have the regular season beginning June 28th, we thought we would run one week of preseason picks just to get everyone back into the groove. Your preseason picks will not count for your yearly total. Its just a good way to get everyone back involved.
Preseason Week 2-Starting Thursday June 21
Toronto at Montreal
BC at Edmonton
Winnipeg at Hamilton
Calgary at Sask
My picks: Toronto, BC, Winnipeg, Calgary

Toronto at Montreal - Toronto will likely start the majority of thier starters, expect even playing time between Allen and Bishop. Montreal will likely be exposed for some of their holes (toronto takes it)
BC at Edmonton - A precurser of the season for the Esks, as they're not all that talented this year, and Rick Moranis is a terrible coach who wants to play steam roller with the QB in Hamilton all the time (take B.C.)
Winnipeg at Hamilton - Hamilton is going to be bad, Winnipeg will be one of the stronger teams in a weak sister division (Winnipeg)
Calgary at Sask - Riders are just going to be bad this year, a patchwork receiving corp, a QB who has helen Keller field vision, and a hole at running back, oh and they lost thier best corners. Calgary will play more younger players, but look for the Stamps core group to start in the first half and run up the points on the Riders (take Calgary)

Anybody planning to start a CP league on FSN this year?
I have done FSN for two years and it is a lot of fun. My first year I finished 89th overall out of 17,000 in pick the winners, and finished 18th out of 15,000 in pick 10 and won a T-shirt.
I think it'd be awesome if we opened up a league, I believe it's free to do so.

Somehow I just don't think the Stamps will beat the Riders. First of all Burris will be out there more than he was against Edmonton (One of the major contributing factors in Calgary winning so big was Burris not being out there to throw picks), second of all Saskatchewan isn't above throwing their starters against the Stamps Scout team late in the game to drive for another meaningless victory.

The Rider's starters don't throw the fear of god into me, I would love to see Kerry Joseph out there, he's one of the best pure fumblers in the CFL.

One game in the books. It's not too late to get your picks in for the rest of the games.
Besides, you can use this week to shake off the game picking rust- that way we don't have any crying later on of "Well I would be in first place; had I started picking the games right from the start of the season."
For those of you new to CP- the pool is open to everybody and rules are simple- just pick the winners before the games start. So if you wanted to pick now- just pick the winners in the 3 remaining games.
Gives you somebody to cheer for in the "means nothing to me" games. It's also a chance for you NFL fans to get involved in watching football while you wait for the NFL season to start. That is; unless you don't consider yourself a football fan.

I thought they lost. If they won several people have an extra point.
