I just don't see Demidov as 2 extra top 2 rounders (plus the move from 9 to 4or5) better than the combined capital of those picks.

Hope the Flames aren't falling too hard for one guy (who isn't a center).
The whole tier from about 1-12 is very, very good.
Only do it if it makes sense. Do not give up another ludicrous price to the Habs after that dreadful Monahan deal.

Championships are won by elite players. The complimentary players can be acquired later even the good ones, but the superstars don't move usually. If the flames can jump up 5 slots in the top 10 to grab a player they think has that kind of ability more than happy for them to move the late 1st and a 2nd

2. Flames package those picks to move up and take Demidov
3. Flames put together another package involving Ras or Weeg and get #7
4. With #7 the Flames take Zeev or Parekh
