Buchanan on the bench, Laryea in so Davies most likely moves up the pitch. Fair play to Marsch, Buchanan has been the poorest of the wingers

Brazil did it to themselves. Worried about the ref and getting frustrated at non fouls. Lots being made about the size and condition of the field but it is no excuse for a team like Brazil who should be aware of the conditions going into the game. This Brazil team has a lot of players who have never performed well for Brazil and only for their club teams and it is showing. Also not playing with an actual striker vs a team playing with 11 men in the box was definitely a decision. Most people in Brazil already view this team as an embarrassment that lacks leadership which went away with Thiago Silva and Casemiro. Neymar carried this team offensively on his shoulders for 10 years and there is no one on this current team that wants to take on that pressure. My bet is this will be a quick tournament for Brazil and no accountability will be taken

Very excited for the Canada game, Peru generally play a good attacking style. Canada should have many chances for goals but Peru is very opportunistic. My prediction is 3-2 Canada in a fun one

I worry about this.
Similar to what I said about Austria in the Euro thread, sometimes a team is more balanced without leaning so hard on a superstar, especially in International competition.
That being said...Bad News Peru! Lets do this!!

The lineup showed Laryea as the one to be further forward, so Davies might still be stuck at LB anyway

Looks like Laryea at LB and Davies at LM. Positive change in my mind. Let’s go!!!

While Peru cannot be taken lightly, THIS is the match to win. Should Canada do it, they can take some confidence into the Chile match and maybe get a result. A win and a draw would put them in a decent position to advance.
But first things first - win tonight!
So far my teams in the Euros have advanced but have played very negatively (English blood, married into an Italian family). I'm more excited by Canada right now. Let's do this.

Ugh...we shall see. But they just made it so easy to key in on Davies.

Laryea is such an idiot. Makes a lot of sense he plays for Toronto FC.

Canada's playing half as good as they did against Argentina. Come on boys, wake up!

Cornellius out of position and Millar floating too far up field. This new formation has been a mess
