When I win the 50/50 tonight, I’ll accept my winnings and pose for a photo in a panthers jersey.

Edit: damn. Didn’t win. Oh well. Otherwise it was a really, really good day for sports.

Best I could find was dtmts.com

I actually feel a bit bad for McDavid. If he goes to another team all is forgiven... he's given his soul to the oilers. He carried that team the whole season.
But he's a big baby for not coming to get the Conn Smythe. Is he crushed after the loss? Sure. But you're a professional making 12.5 million a year. Get your ass out there and be a professional.
Can we be super thankful Corey Perry and Evander Kane and also Darnell Nurse did not win the cup.

And also, 10# Derek Ryan. Thanks.

Who's he really hurting by not accepting that trophy though? Like what difference does it make. He has to go out and get his picture taken with Bettman next to it in the middle of panthers celebrating the real win on their home ice? And then bring it back into his locker room? It's not his fault a bunch of Canadian hockey writer dorks voted him the winner as a consolation prize that no real competitor in their right mind would ever want to accept, let alone make a big deal of. One of many reasons you shouldnt give MVP to a player on the losing team.

Incredible how tanned Ryan looks for a guy who lives in Edmonton. Clearly pretanning for vacation. Hope he and kilks have to go to Russia for future employment

Agreed would not want to see Kane Perry leon or nurse raise the cup, but actually wouldn’t be too butthurt seeing mcdavid raise it.

There is no planet where the Oilers can run this back next year or the year after. Because when push came to shove it wasn't even McDrai but some absolutely amazing once in a lifetime performances from plugs like Janmark, Connor Brown, and Foegele. They had an amazing PK mostly due to those players as well. There is absolutely 0 chance such a PK will be repeated in any other year the Oilers make the playoffs. Not to mention Brown's bonus, Bouchard breaking playoff records and his contract renewal, and Drai's renewal.

This playoff run was a nightmare for Flames fans but I can happily rest easy knowing this was absolutely the pinnacle and apex of the McDrai Oilers.

I really really hope a Calgarian wins the 50/50. That would be the icing on the cake.

I don’t have an issue with McD not coming out to accept the MVP. Dude was devastated.

If McDavid wants to be a role model, or even if he doesn't, his station and position as a top player in the league, a position that Ron MacLean and Sportsnet and the league have bent over backwards to force him upon fans as a star, he then has the responsibility to suck it up and win or lose with class and dignity.

But, it's "hard", so I'll just avoid it and people will understand.

No, man up, especially given the spotlight that you've earned but also that the league has given you to be the next generation star.

JS Giguere came out on the road with Devils celebrating a cup to accept the Conn Smythe, do you think he was happy?

This is basically it, if you don't want to be the guy, that's fine.

Don't let them sell you as the guy or sell yourself as the guy and not show up to be it.

Can't say you are Jesus but when the wine is gone and only barrels of water left, you disappear.
