They went as long as Sportsnet surprisingly. They invested a fair amount into this game since they had Stephen A Smith focus on hockey for First Take, and he went to the game also.
Hope the ratings reflect well for them. It's tough since it's a non traditional market versus a Canadian team, but with nothing going on a Monday night in the summer, it should be a strong draw. With Miami now having a cup, it's a good night for the NHL.

You guys slung a lot of trash at the team, city and fans and doubted whether any would show up. I was here at 3-9. I was here at 0-3 in this series, and I’m her after they lost. It sucks, watched it in 06, know that it can be fleeting, there’s no guarantee of linear progression and regression is just as likely.

McDavid not coming out for the Conn Smythe presentation is absolutely embarrassing. Didn't like the guy to start with; I like him less now.
The NHL would never fine him but they should. It's a bad look for the league.

But if he came out and said he was embarrassed and didn't do enough to win then I think that would be fair.
