How about the rest of you guys? I know if it wasn't for fathers there wouldn't be many hockey players out there.

Gave my dad a phone call. He's an electrician so I had all my electrical questions for the garage all lined up.
As for what I got, I went down to Totem to get my free hat and a free $95 gift card. As for anything else; I don't plan on answering the phone today unless I'm sure I know the number. |

Kids let me sleep in a bit, got some handmade cards, a couple of cool books and a SoundSpa clock radio. Then I got to watch the US Grand Prix (uninterrupted!) live and in HD. |

My father passed away in 2000 due to Colon Cancer. So i've carried on our tradition of a few beers while watching the last round of the US Open.
 RIP Dad!

My dad is very hard to shop for, and never actually wants anything, so my sister are taking him out to dinner tonight, and giving him a card stuffed full of Timmy's gift certificates and old pictures of us when we were little.

Assisted the children with French toast and bacon in bed for my husband. They also gave him new solar patio lights like he asked for. I made him a lemon merangue pie for dessert and gave him Def Leppard tickets for Father's Day/Birthday combo.
For my Dad, he gets peach raspberry pie, and fresh lake trout for dinner. His grandaughter caught it last night.

 Plus cards all around.

All in all, an excellent day for all the men in my life.

Mine too! I was up all night with the baby, so my wife let me sleep until about 11:00, then woke me up with a Father's Day card "from" my 4 day old daughter.

She then told me "she got you a present too--it's in her diaper."

I got teary-eyed too......

In the meantime, I learned a valuable lesson. After the rumblings start, wait a few minutes to make sure she's done.
