Anther thing about Divesaitl is that he’s an absolute chicken ####. You’d think that with all of the nut spears, slewfoots, flying elbows and other assorted cheap shots he dishes out, he’d be willing to throw hands when challenged. Everyone knows there is a huge problem with refereeing in the NHL and the Oilers have benefitted from it this offseason. Florida has as well (Bennett goal against Boston for instance). The only difference from other teams is that when the refs make a bad call that gives the Oilers a power play is they have McDavid.

If you don't think the NHL has a refereeing problem, maybe that's because you're an Oiler fan?

I don’t see Florida winning a high scoring game. So I’m going 5-0 oilers or 3-1 panthers. But I’d put the likelihood of those scenarios at 80/20.

Had. None of that was apparent when they were obtained. And two of them were booted as soon as it came to light.

Kane and Perry's issues were there before they were obtained. See also Mactavish. Others have committed crimes and been kept on (Khabibhulin, Hunter). And they signed Virtanen to a PTO.

I don't see Florida winning in any scenario. They have had 9 periods since going up 3-0 and have played maybe 1.5 good periods of hockey.

Without re-litigating the whole thing, there's more than enough reason to believe the Flames knew enough about Dube. The suggestion John Bean did not know every single detail of that evening is absurd.

Once it became all but public knowledge thanks to the CBC (or TSN, was it?) reporting the club also fumbled their communications - not sure exactly who was at fault for that within the organisation.
