If the Oilers win it all on Monday they will be deserving champions. I still hate the franchise, but man, it would be quite the epic comeback, and I would tip my cap to them.

Certainly they have made some impressive adjustments that have completely flipped the script on the Panthers. Suddenly the Panthers forecheck is non-existent. Oilers are generating rush chances in bunches. It looks like two different teams from last week.

Two stats that tell the story: the unreal PK numbers. And Skinner undefeated in games 4-7 this playoffs. Say no more.

Florida got up 3-0 and then decided it's going to be an easy sweep and that was it. Take any team lightly and you get burned. Wonder if panthers show up for game 7?

Turning in my hockey fandom if Oilers win the cup.
Literally no point following the sport anymore in my eyes.
It is what it is, let’s see what happens monday.

The ABC feed wasn't even scared to admit that the Panthers are helping out the Oilers making some really stupid decisions.

No.

They had an easy path. LA, Van where Boeser couldn’t go, Dallas who quit

Draisaitl should have been suspended for the elbow, Barkov hasn’t been the same

Many momentum killing interjections from the stripes

The PK has been good, but they have had a lot of help that other teams don’t get

#### them

If I had no knowledge of how the series went and you told me Grease vs. Panthers in game 7 I'd be fine and confident FLA would win. But the way the last 3 games have gone... it's the grease's game to lose now.

I need to know it's still the likely scenario.
I thought I heard on the broadcast it’s been done twice, and one of those would be the 1940 something leafs who ended up winning.

So 50/50, which checks out. Unless anyone still thinks that the oilers having BEEN down 0-3 is still at all relevant, in which case, you’re mistaken.

Exactly. The Oilers get better through the course of every series. It's quite impressive.

Me too. I’ll tip my hat to them also. They didn’t turn over and die. They were absolute beasts these last three games. They deserve to be where they’re at in this series. Hell of a come back.

This will all be worthwhile for the Panthers to win on Monday. THat's the kind of denial I'm knee deep in

Think it's only between the Red Wings and Leafs in that time period. Leafs completed the reverse sweep, Red Wings did not a couple (?) years later.

And this was when there was only 6 teams in the league.

Edmonton Oilers are already in the history books for pulling this off to force Game 7 in the final. This should not be happening.

You suck Panthers. Suck so much.

The Carolina Hurricanes and Boston Bruins are my two favourite non-Flames teams for their respective game 7 triumphs. On Monday, the Florida Panthers join them.

If Florida chokes this away, it’s got to be one of the most embarrassing things in sports history up there with the Falcons Patriots Super Bowl and the Red Sox 0-3 comeback against New York in 2004.

I get them relaxing in Game 4 but no excuses for the last two.

One chance left.

If Demko had played in the Vancouver series, I'm convinced the Oilers wouldn't have made it out of round 2. Unfortunately the stars aligned for them and everything went their way in these playoffs, including their opposition not bothering to show up after the first 4 games in each series.

Apparently the phrase "team of destiny" is a real thing this season. Go figure.
