This year's Flames team could probably beat the Oilers FFS.
I disagree. The coaches approach to losing grip on the series has been all wrong. They have emotional players who he didn't want to get fired up, and it shows. Acting like everything was fine after getting blown out was dumb. They needed to panic a little.

And there have been little to no on ice adjustments. They keep doing the same old behind the net cycle game and get no good chances from it.

Bad coaching.

Pretty tempted to give up on watching all professional sports and fostering some new hobbies. The NHL was one of the last few leagues I found tolerable to watch especially with all the corruption, match-fixing scandals, cheating and rigged superteams that plague other professional sports leagues. Probably the only way to numb the pain of watching this epic collapse from Florida and hearing insufferably for the next 10 years how the Oilers are the greatest team ever in NHL history.

I mean we have to give credit where credit is due. This Oilers team is the Achilles' heel of any Flame (former or current). Maybe it will finally smarten up this franchise to rebuild and be ready to dominate the Oilers and redeem themselves within the next 5-10 years. Maybe the Flames organization needs to complain to the league a few times like the Oilers organization did to get the McDavids of the world.

At the end of the day, I accept that it really is all about money and marketing. It's a business after all.

My hope is that the Oilers have an adrenaline and energy dump after trying to claw back down 0-3 causing them to be flat for Game 7.

But that is a stretch. I expect a very close game in Game 7 with the team getting the extra bounce winning the cup.

Is anyone really surprised given what we’ve seen the last 3 games? I mean it’s not like FLA had lost in close OT games.

Pretty sure the Panthers won't need an extra travel day "to rest and prepare". They've done nothing to change their play so far.

I said it before and will say it again. Either way there’s wins and losses. Edmonton wins and idiot Tkachuk loses in spectacular fashion. Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy. On the other hand, Edmonton loses and their local trash turns a dumpy city upside down.

Apparently not a forum to discuss hockey in a respectful way. My bad.

There are endless amounts of people complaining it's all luck, but pointing out any sort of real world observation I get told to go to a rival forum. Making the flames fan base look real good here.

This has been a problem with all sports since single game betting though. Leagues sponsor the gaming site and the bettors buy in. Leagues control the game and the profits rise.

Out on my patio to get away from the game inside and I hear some clown neighbour cheering, must have been the 3-0 goal. Just can't get away from these f'ing loser oiler fans in my own city.

Chuckling at the American ads for weight loss drugs, Jesus, and the bachelorette has been more entertaining than the game.

You're on a Flames forum. What exactly are you looking for here, sympathy?

Shouldn't you be cheering and drinking the night away?

Remember what they say... be classy in victory.

Absolutely no passes should be given to a Panthers team who have been here before and willfully sprayed diarrhea all over the ice in an attempt to look competent.

I just can't imagine being a part of a whole that let it get to here. The Florida Panthers deserve to lose.

You don't luck your way to a Stanley Cup. Maybe one game... but not 16 wins, especially after being down 0-3 in the finals. You could argue that the Panthers had the luck stealing Game 1 and arguably Game 3.

I get it, this is the darkest timeline as a flames fan and some of us (including myself) are frustrated and imploding.

On the bright side friends, there is still game 7. Don't lose hope just yet! lol

It’s just to make the Oilers lose in the most heartbreaking fashion in game 7. Dominate 3 straight games , all momentum and then POW right in the kisser
